Our Show

The Boggstown Cabaret offers unique, live entertainment, featuring music from the 1900s-1960s, comedy and audience interaction all performed by professional entertainers.  We borrow from the traditions of Vaudeville, a little from Vegas and Branson, a bit of Broadway, and come up with a fun interactive show that while geared toward adults is appropriate for the entire family.

The format of our show always consists of live music, comedy and audience interaction, rather than "book" shows.   We are always adding new music, new jokes and do special shows tailored to the Holidays or New Year's Eve, so you can rest assured while we'll always carry on certain  traditions, you will never see exactly the same show twice.

One of the most unique features of our show is that YOU are an active participant.  Boggstown isn't the sort of place you go to sit and observe, the Cabaret is a party, and YOU are invited!

Sing along, get up and dance . . . you never know what might happen next!

While we have moved away from the Ragtime and Banjo format the Cabaret began with, our audiences continue to be delighted with the talent of our entertainers and the energy and fun of our shows. Come experience what the Indianapolis Star described as "Pure Fun" for yourself!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I haven't been to the Cabaret in several years.  Do you still have Ragtime and Banjos?  Although we honor the music that the Cabaret began with, we don't use that format anymore.  We do still play some Ragtime, along with a variety of other music that we're sure you will love.  We currently don't have any Banjo in the show, although we have a variety of other instruments and talented musicians.

  • Is your show "clean"?  Our show is geared to an adult audience, but we don't work "blue" and feel that the show is appropriate for all ages.  We do tell some jokes with innuendo, and flirt with the audience, but if we were to give the show a rating like the movies, we're never more that PG-13 at the very most.

  • Is your show appropriate for children?  We have had a number of children come to Boggstown and really love the experience.  A lot depends on the child and their individual temperament, but we've been told that we're more fun that Chuck E. Cheese!  We do ask that the children be 3 or older, as we don't have the facilities for diaper changing or anyplace to go with a crying baby.
